Solar Loan
Own it outright, on your own timeline
A solar loan is the most straightforward path if the goal is to actually own the system -- you finance the purchase, keep every incentive that comes with owning it, and the payment goes away once the loan's paid off.
How it actually works
You apply and we run a soft credit check first -- that step doesn't touch your credit score. If you move forward, a hard pull may happen later for final approval, and we'll tell you before that happens.
Once approved, you sign, the system gets designed, permitted, and installed, and loan payments begin on a fixed schedule. Terms and exact timing vary by lender, and we'll walk through the specifics for your situation before you sign anything.
What you actually get
The system is yours from day one, even though the lender holds a lien until it's paid off. You keep any tax incentives you're eligible for (confirm current status with a tax professional -- these programs shift with legislation). There's no penalty for paying it off early, and once it's paid off, the payment simply stops while the system keeps producing.
What to weigh
The loan payment is yours regardless of how much the system produces in a given month -- that's the tradeoff for ownership. You're also responsible for maintenance beyond what's covered under warranty, though our 25-year warranty covers panels, inverter, and workmanship, which handles most of what would normally come up.
